Walking through the Maverick River Men's Ministry Playbook training was incredibly insightful and helpful for how to build our ministry to reach men. Tim is not only knowledgeable but carries a deep burden and passion for the men of our homes, churches, and communities. I highly recommend the process for any church or leader who wants to reach more men in their church for Jesus, and I know it will produce fruit when put into action.

Tim and I walked through the MRC Men's Ministry Playbook, I could sense God confirming some things I had felt the Holy Spirit prompting in me during the months prior about the direction we needed to go with our men's ministry. It was so cool to see those pieces of the puzzle begin to come together as Tim did an amazing job of laying out all of these concepts in a package that can easily be adapted to any context. Now, it's one thing to sit and talk about ministry and get excited as you imagine what it would look like to implement various strategies and concepts, but it's something altogether different to see it in action. The following day, I was able to attend a Men of Mariners breakfast. From the moment I stepped in the door, I could see every aspect of the playbook unfold in front of me...from the Dream Team to the Strategy, to the creativity and cultural intentionality, it was right there in front of my eyes. Tim has done an incredible job of making each step of the vision God has given him for men, become reality. And it's a joy to not only benefit from the years of implementation that has occured at Mariners, but I'm excited to begin to see God's plans unfolding for the Men of Cedar Park! As we work through the planning and strategy, praying and trusting God's leading, I am grateful for the opportunity to work with Tim and Maverick River Collective. And, I'm hopeful for the future of Cedar Park Men, excited to see the work God will do to transform the lives of men from every generation! It was difficult to pinpoint my own virtues because when I looked in the mirror, I did not see God’s creation. I saw a failure. I saw an angry resentful man that was drudging through life hoping for breaks. I lost 70lbs but when I fixed my health, I still wasn’t fulfilled. When money ceased to be an issue, I still wasn’t fulfilled. Tim offered me unconditional friendship and modeled what I believe is my purpose for me in relationship with Jesus and my family and my friends.
My coaching relationship with Tim has become a friendship with a person that I know has my back and will give me biblical coaching so I can do the same for my family and friends. I’m sober. I’m in the sanctification process and I am grateful for Tim’s influence, guidance, patience, brutal honesty, and friendship. Life’s still hard, but I don’t have to wing it. I have a dude’s dude that cares about me and how my life is and can, in a kind way, hit me with God’s truth.- Executive Pastor Troy Pomeroy

If I could think of one thing that we’ve done this past year that has radically changed our church, and personally impacted myself at the same time it would be bringing Maverick River collective in. Our church went from not having a men’s ministry, to having such a tight knit core group of guys that are there for each other through thick and thin in a matter of months. We didn’t have to pour countless hours into strategy, implementation, and follow up… we simply got the tools to the people who had a heart for the men in the church, and the rest simply happened almost automatically. Seriously, thankful for Tim and his team. This one moment with MRC will change generations forever.
